By Last year, Xiaomi released a small gadget called Mi Internet Radio with the possibility to listen to radio via the Internet. Now, the Chinese company presented an updated and improved version with an extended number of features.
The first edition of Mi Internet Radio had one big problem – no built-in battery. The second, enhanced model solves this problem with a 1000mAh battery. It means that the device becomes portable. If you’re a fan of a certain radio programmed, this wireless radio can always be with you wherever you are. Unfortunately, Xiaomi didn’t reveal battery time details, so users will have to learn it themselves when using the radio.
The battery is basically the only significant improvement to Mi Wireless Radio. Other features remained the same. The radio is connected to smartphones or tablets via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. The control is done with the accompanying app, available for iOS and Android devices. The selection of radio stations is huge – users will have access to more than 300 000 of them with all kinds of genres. The second generation of Mi Wireless Radio can be bought now for $22. The device became available on Xiaomi’s official website starting from March 24.
