Snapdragon 845 Specs and Release Date

So far, most flagship Android smartphones are equipped with Snapdragon 835, the Qualcomm’s most powerful creation. However, in December Qualcomm is holding a presentation event where we’ll see the new flagship processor – Snapdragon 845. In fact, the first details about the novelty are already available on the Internet.

Snapdragon 845 will be based on 10nm process using the Samsung’s Low Power Plus technology. As a result, the chipset will be 25% powerful compared to its predecessor. In addition, Snapdragon 845 will be more energy-efficient. Other notable characteristics include 4 Cortex A75 and 4 Cortex A53 cores in the CPU, the Adreno 630 GPU, the LPDDR4X standard for RAM, and so on.

Snapdragon 845 is built to work with brand-new 5G networks. Its X20 modem will support the standard LTE Cat. 18 providing fantastic mobile Internet speeds of up to 1.2Gbps.

The presentation event will be held on December 4 in Maui, Hawaii. Also, considering the cooperation between Samsung and Qualcomm, Galaxy S9 will most likely be the first smartphone powered by Snapdragon 845.
