Today for the review we’ve got our hands on another brand-new powerful mini Android Scishion V99 Hero TV Box 4K Video Media Player. In the box you get a manual, a power cable, an HDMI cable, and a remote control. The box itself has an outstanding design, unlike the old ones we are used to, with a stylish stone-effect black finish.
The bottom is sealed with a non-slip rubbery cover, that helps the box firmly stay in place. As for the size, the box is smaller than any WiF router, and given there are no antennas, this wouldn’t disrupt visual composition of your desk or shelf. It has a lot of slots on the back, including 2 USB and a TF card slot in spite of usual optical out, HD and network landport ones.
To begin with some specs, Scishion V99 Hero TV Box runs on Android 1.1 with no option for update, which is not very effective. Playing high definition 4k video from a USB drive was perfect, as well as YouTube streaming. In the AnToTo Benchmark test, the score of the gadget is 31748, putting it under Leelbox, TX8, Meecool and other TV boxes. Though, benchmark score is not the only factor that impacts the tool’s performance.

Video gaming on this TV box isn’t a completely smooth experience, as one can see and feel framedrops playing Real Racing 3 or Riptide 2, whereas playing ordinary games like Crossy Road is fine. In WiFi connection test this box achieved a total 12.39 download speed, and 30.05 upload speed. The original Scishion 4K Video Media Player remote is responsive and does the job, however, a wireless mini-keyboard would provide a better experience. Most lags and crushes come down to incompatibilities with Android 5.1 OS, but an update at least to a 6th version would smooth this up.
In either case, this tv box performs well when playing 4K videos, streaming 1008 p YouTube videos, and is overall a great media player for watching TV and playing basic games. Considering the affordable price, this device is an even more cost-and-quality effective purchase for general requirements.
