In late March, despite the fiasco of the first instalment of Galaxy Note 7, Samsung revealed its plans to make a refurbished version of the phablet. Since that time, the rumours have been flowing. Now, there’s another piece of information – in the benchmark Geekbench appeared the first results of new Samsung Galaxy Note 7.
Interestingly, according to the test results, the refurbished Galaxy Note 7 came very close to Galaxy S8 smartphone – it scored 1957 points in a single-core test and 6092 points in a multi-core test. Apparently, Samsung has done a pretty good job redeeming the honor of the Note line-up after the scandal.
As expected, the sales of the new version of Galaxy Note 7 may start in June 2017 in India and Vietnam. The device will receive smaller batteries (3 000-3 200mAh) which is less than the original 3 500mAh but definitely safer. The design will slightly change and it will be released with the latest Android version – Android 7.0 Nougat. All the other hardware components will remain the same including 5.7-inch display, 12MP camera, 4GB RAM, octa-core Exynos 8890 processor, and so on.
