New Samsung Exynos 9 Series 8895 Processor

Samsung decided not to wait until MWC 2017 and unveiled their new flagship processor Exynos 9 Series 8895. Just like Qualcomm Snapdragon 835, this processor is based on a 10nm process technology. As a result, Exynos 9 Series 8895 is 27% more productive than previous versions and consumes 40% less energy than 14-nm chipsets, like Snapdragon 821.

Exynos 9 Series 8895 has 4 Samsung-made cores and 4 more powerful Cortex-A53 cores. The graphics is controlled by the Mali-G71 processor. It supports higher image resolutions, up to 3840х2400 and 4096×2160, just like recording and playing video in 4K. Besides, the processor supports cameras up to 28MP which includes not only regular sensors but dual cameras.

Exynos9 Processor

According to Samsung representatives, Exynos 9 Series 8895 is the first one to be fitted with LTE-modem with 5CA support. This allows the processor to download data at 1Gbps speed. What’s more, Exynos 9 Series 8895 has something else onboard – a separated co-processor responsible for safety. It will store all data from fingerprint and retina sensors.

Exynos 9 Series 8895 has already been put into mass production. And it looks like we will see it in the international versions of the new Samsung smartphones: Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus.
