Smartwatches aren’t just tech gadgets – they became stylish fashion accessories. As a result, many fashion brands, like Hugo Boss or Tommy Hilfiger, came up with their own smartwatches. The most recent instalment in this category is a device by LouisVuitton called Tambour Horizon.
Although LouisVuitton is mostly famous for its luxurious bags, the company managed to make a pretty functional smartwatch. Obviously, it looks very much like a piece of art. The watch runs on Android Wear 2.0, so it supports all apps from Google Play. Apart from that, there are a couple standard apps for travelers, like My Flight (looking for airports and choosing suitable flights) or City Guide (shows the places worth visiting). Plus, users are offered a selection of exclusive watch faces and 60 bands, made of different materials.
As for the specs, Tambour Horizon is similar to LG Watch Style or Huawei Watch 2. The watch is equipped with a 1.2-inch touch-sensitive AMOLED display, Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor and 512MB RAM. A 300mAh battery powers the watch giving it enough charge for a day of use.
Because it’s LouisVuitton, the watch won’t be affordable for everybody. Still, if you’re into fashion and cool gadgets, there’s one more luxurious option to consider before buying a smartwatch.
