LG Announced Appliances with Google Assistant Support

At the Google I / O 2017 developer conference, which took place in Mountain View on May 17-19, LG Electronics announced a line-up of smart home appliances. The devices are integrated with Google Assistant and Google Home smart speaker.

This month, the support of Google Home will be available in the USA for all smart devices from the LG’s top line-up LG Signature. It includes such appliances, as fridges, washing machines and thermostats. Apart from that, the novelty will be featured in LG’s air conditioners and robot vacuum cleaners. The information about the release of specific models will be announced later.

With Google Home, users of connected LG devices will be able to access the Google Assistant functions. For example, it’s possible to find out how much time is left before the end of the washing cycle, or tell the refrigerator to make more ice, or change the thermostat setting for the LG air conditioner. All these operations are done with voice commands.
