Galaxy Note FE – Latest Samsung News

In late March, Samsung news officially confirmed rumours about launching the refurbished Galaxy Note 7 smartphone which was recalled from production due to numerous explosion incidents. Now, the company introduced a new smartphone called Galaxy Note FE (Fan Edition) which is exactly a refurbished version of the notorious phablet. The device will be launched in South Korea on July 7. In total, Samsung plans to sell 400 thousand new Note 7 phablets. The company also considers the possibility of selling Note FE in other countries but this information hasn’t been confirmed yet.

As for the characteristics, the main difference between Note FE and Note 7 is the battery. Its capacity was reduced from 3500mAh to 3200mAh. In addition, the device will support the proprietary voice assistant Bixby which we first saw in Galaxy S8 smartphone.

Other than that, Galaxy Note FE isn’t much different from the original. It is equipped with a 5.7-inch AMOLED-display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. Also, the device received an iris scanner, protection from dust and water, and an included S Pen stylus.

In any case, Samsung seems to have learned from its mistakes and new Note 7 looks like a reliable device. Let’s hope that it will reach other markets apart from South Korea, so that people from all around the world could be assured that Samsung is a trustworthy brand.
