Samsung unveiled the flagship phablet Galaxy Note 8. Although most details were already known before the presentation, the company prepared a few surprises. Here’s full spec and our review of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.
During the presentation, Samsung didn’t focus much on technical specs and numbers. Instead, user-friendliness and operability were the most important aspects of the presentation. For example, Galaxy Note 8 has less rounded corners compared to Galaxy S8. At the same time, the device feels great in a hand and doesn’t cause any discomfort.
As for the display, it is pretty big. A 6.3-inch Infinity Display takes almost the whole front side and boasts 18:9 aspect ratio. Above the display, apart from the front camera, there is a retina scanner. Samsung prefers this user identification way although the device still has a fingerprint sensor.
On the rear side, there is another highlight – a dual camera (12MP + 12MP). This is the first Samsung device with this feature. As a result, the smartphone has excellent photo characteristics, like 2x optical zoom, Bokeh effect, Dual Pixel technology for fast autofocus, optical stabilization in both sensors, 4K video recording, and so on.
Among other notable features, we’d like to mention the processor (Snapdragon 835 or Exynos 8 depending on the country), 6GB RAM, IP68 full protection from water and dust, a USB-C port and the included S Pen stylus. Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will go on sale on September 15.
