A couple of months ago, we wrote about the latest Xiaomi smartphone called Mi6. The device was introduced in May and now, it’s available for purchase in retail and online stores. As usual, the company released several models of its flagship smartphone but one in particular deserves special attention. Today, we’re reviewing Xiaomi Mi6 with a ceramic body.
Unlike regular models with a metal body, this one is much more sophisticated and luxurious. Ceramics emphasises premium quality of this smartphone. The whole body is a four-sided curved ceramic “brick” that looks quite amazing. In addition, ceramics adds extra protection to the phone. It’s wear-proof, tear-resistant and its hardness is measured at 8 Mohs, which is pretty high considering that the top number on the Mohs scale of hardness is 10. Overall, ceramic Xiaomi Mi6 really looks like a piece of art and an excellent example of perfect symmetry.

Apart from its stunning design, this edition of Xiaomi’s flagman boasts great specs. The curved, 5.15-inch display delivers bright visuals and reduces glare in order to minimize harm to your eyes. The core of this smartphone is the latest creation of Qualcomm – Snapdragon 835. Together with 6GB RAM, they contribute to quick performance and high responsiveness.
Another advantage of Xiaomi Mi6 is its dual camera. It consists of two sensors: 12MP wide-angle with 4-axis stabilization and 12MP telephoto. The camera also boasts 2X optical lossless zoom for clear photography from distance. And let’s not forget about the portrait mode which really highlights the person on the photo.
A big thing about Xiaomi Mi6 is sound. Dual speakers on both ends of the device produce stereo effect. Also, don’t forget that Xiaomi Mi6 doesn’t have a headphone jack. It’s a slight disadvantage, so you’ll need to have some accessories or wireless headphones.
Still, Xiaomi Mi 6 is a fantastic smartphone with impressive characteristics. Add to that a high-quality ceramic body and you get a thing of beauty that you should definitely check out if you want to buy a smartphone.
