The rumors about a new 10.5-inch Apple iPad appeared on the internet a long time ago. However, according to sources among Taiwanese component suppliers, the novelty went into mass production just now.
But despite the fact that the assembly of the new tablet is just beginning, sources predict the future increase in production volumes. According to available information, the companies initially had to produce 500 000 tablets per month. However, starting next month, this figure should grow to 600 000.
Unfortunately, the sources don’t provide any technical details about the new 10.5-inch iPad. Earlier, it was reported that one of the main features of this device should be a frameless display. Because of the new display design, the new iPad will be roughly comparable to usual 9.7-inch Apple tablets.
As a reminder, the announcement of the 10.5-inch iPad is expected to be held early next month as part of the WWDC 2017 conference.
