Alhough Apple released new MacBook Pro only in October, the company is already working on a new generation of its laptops. According to iDownloadBlog, new MacBooks will have only one distinction from the older models – a row of function keys which will replace the Touch Bar. The decision might have been influenced by numerous complaints from users who were disappointed by the functionality of this touchscreen panel. Therefore, Apple would have to return regular function keys to MacBook.
iDownloadBlog referred to its own trusted sources and it looks like Apple will re-release current MacBook Pro 15-inch models in an urgent order. According to one informant, the wave of criticism towards the Touch Bar was unexpected for Apple which made them develop the models without it.
A famous KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo agreed with this prediction partially. In his words, Apple is really working on updated MacBooks but they won’t be introduced as an addition to the existing line-up. New MacBook laptops will get a more productive processor, 32GB RAM and have models without Touch Bar.
