For the last few months, there were many rumours about the new 10.5-inch Apple tablet. Finally, during a large presentation of new devices, which was the part of the WWDC 2017 opening, Apple unveiled the 10.5-inch iPad Pro.
The tablet received a 10.5-inch True Tone display with a 2224×1668 resolution and reduced side frames. In addition, the display supports the ProMotion technology which provides a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz.
10.5-inch iPad Pro works on the 6-core A10X Fusion processor. The tablet also got a 12 MP camera with optical stabilization, a 7 MP front camera and four speakers.
The new iPad Pro went on sale on June for $649-$779.
Apart from that, Apple introduced an updated version of the 12.9-inch iPad which also has a True Tone display with enhanced color gamut, ProMotion technology and a resolution of 2732×2048 pixels.
As part of the presentation, Apple also demonstrated a version of the new iOS 11 for iPad which received a number of useful functions. For example, users of Apple tablets will have access to a customizable Dock which allows opening frequently used apps and documents from any screen. In addition, iOS 11 for iPad will receive the Files app which helps collect all files together, no matter where they are stored: on the device, in iCloud or other cloud services.
Another notable innovation is improved multitasking, which will allow using two active apps in Split View and Slide Over modes. Moreover, documents can be scanned in the Notes app. Finally, another useful feature will be the ability to search for handwritten words or characters.
