In June 2016, Lenovo showed a working prototype of a flexible smartphone CPlus, equipped with a 4.26-inch display, and a Folio tablet that bends in half.
A year later, during the exhibition Lenovo Tech World 2017, Lenovo demonstrated again Foldable Tablet – the concept of the Folio tablet that actually turns into a smartphone.
Here is brief review. According to Phone Arena, the device is equipped with a 7.8-inch display with a 1920×1440 resolution, which becomes 5.5-inch when folded. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and runs on Android 7.0 Nougat.
Apart from that, the tablet offers users a few interesting functions. For instance, it will be possible to launch two different apps on each half of the tablet. Plus, you can turn on the camera and see yourself on the display while taking a photo or recording.
Lenovo actually published a small video on YouTube that gives viewers allows a visual representation of the prototype.
The release date of the Folio’s commercial version isn’t reported. Earlier, the company noted that the smartphone bracelet CPLus might hit the market by 2021.
