Although Xiaomi is mostly famous for its smartphones, the company is very active in other segments. For example, Xiaomi has a line-up of smart home devices and just added a new product to it – Aqara Smart Curtain.
This interesting device works on a proprietary Xiaomi platform Mi Home and use ZigBee connection protocol. The curtain can sense if a person towards it, so it opens or closes by itself. Obviously, Aqara comes with a smartphone app which allows the user to control the curtain remotely. Depending on your needs, you can adjust the curtain: fully open, half open, closed, etc. Plus, it’s possible to set timers when the curtain must be open.
Besides, Xiaomi came up with an alternative control device. Considering that using a smartphone isn’t always convenient, Aqara set includes a small, wireless remote. All you need to do is tap on it to open or close the curtain. Moreover, Xiaomi mentions that the device doesn’t make any noise.
Aqara Smart Curtain is currently available for pre-order in China for $145.
