Being one of the main smartphone makers in the world, Huawei is expanding its specialty. According to Financial Times, the company is working on a laptop that can potentially compete with Apple MacBook. The publisher refers to the sources familiar with the manufacturer’s plans and claims that the release of the upcoming novelty is scheduled for the end of this month.
It is reported that the device in the first place will be aimed at regular users without the focus on any professional activities. It means that we shouldn’t expect a high-end device with super-productive software or a 4K display.
Despite this, the retail price of the MateBook X (a name that one of the models will get) will be much higher than average and may well be on the same level with a 12-inch MacBook. A famous insider Evan Blass agreed with this information and added that we may see three new products from Huawei this year.
In his opinion, Huawei is preparing to present two regular laptops and one hybrid. All of them will supposedly be built on M-series processors from Intel. So far, the information about the their specs and the exact release date are still unknown.
