Smartphone market is a place where serious companies, like Apple or Samsung, annually present their creations in hope of appealing to the public. Everyone always waits for a new device from these brands because they bring something innovative into our life. Of course, in terms of technology, smartphones are very diverse. As for the design, everything is mostly the same. That’s why a new gadget from the USA is like a breath of fresh air.
One start-up based in San Francisco made a masterpiece – a banana phone. Yes, it is literally a banana phone – it’s yellow and it looks exactly like many people’s favourite potassium-filled fruit. The only difference, obviously – this one isn’t edible. Instead, it’s an interesting gadget that connects to a smartphone via Bluetooth so that the user could talk while holding a “banana”.
The gadget is fitted with a speaker, a microphone and three control buttons, so it’s pretty simple to use. Apart from that, it has voice activated calling if you use Siri or Google Assistant. The banana phone works on a regular rechargeable lithium battery that lasts for 10 hours of conversation. Also, it’s made of environmentally friendly materials and a percent of all sales goes to the organization “Gearing Up” which preserves the population of gorillas.
So, if you want to support the project, visit its Indiegogo page and pre-order the banana phone. After all, it really is a cool accessory for your home. Unless you have a pet monkey, of course.
