At the minimal price of $229, Moto G5 Plus can surprise you with its characteristics. We begin with the exterior. The body is metal and the display is protected with glass, which gives the phone a nice, even premium feel. By the way, on the front there is a fingerprint sensor. Speaking of the display, it isn’t bad at all – 5.2 inches and a 1920×1080 resolution. Actually, it’s one of the best 1080p displays for the offered price.
In the software department, Moto G5 Plus is pretty standard: it has an octa-core Snapgragon 625 processor, 4GB RAM and 32GB storage. Most importantly, the phone runs Android Nougat with all new features and improvements.
Where Moto G5 Plus amazes the most is camera. In terms of its quality, this phone is one of the best on the market, especially for its price. 12 MP CMOS sensor with dual-pixel autofocus, 8x digital zoom and dual-LED flash can produce high-quality images even in darker conditions. In fact, the image processor (Sony Exmor RS) is the same that you find on Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. That’s what makes this camera so exceptional.
And of course, let’s not forget about all selfie lovers – for them there’s always a 5 MP front camera.
All in all, Moto G5 Plus is a reasonable choice for a reasonable price. If you’re not chasing any big brands but you still want something functional, this is the smartphone for you.
