Smartphones by Xiaomi come out quite often, so they don’t surprise anyone that much. The situation with tablets is a bit different. The last Xiaomi tablet, Mi Pad 2, was released 2 years ago. Finally, the Chinese company updated its line-up and launched Mi Pad 3. On the outside, this tablet is quite similar to its predecessor and the “internals” changed a lot.
The display stayed the same – 7.9 inches and 2048×1536 resolution. Obviously, the tablet still runs on Android (7.0 Nougat) with the Xiaomi’s MIUI 8 skin. The main improvements concerned the software. The “heart” of Mi Pad 3 is a hexa-core processor MediaTek MT8176 with 2.1GHz clock speed. The processor was designed specifically for tablets. It is accompanied with PowerVR GX6250 GPU, 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage.
For people, who like to take photos with tablets, there are two cameras: 13MP on the back and 5MP on the front. The battery became bigger – 6 600mAh guarantee 8 hours of work. Besides, Mi Pad 3 supports fast charging and is fitted with a USB-C port which is used for charging as well.
Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 hit the stores a few days ago and it’s available for $217.
