Recently, pocket laptops have become quite popular among electronics manufacturers. Earlier, we saw a couple of these devices: Gemini PDA and GPD Pocket. Now, there is another one.
The device called KS-PRO was launched on Indiegogo. KS-PRO was created by the startup Khiron-Sigma which was founded by former Microsoft employees. The laptop will work on both Windows 10 and Android 7.0. But the main thing about KS-PRO is its processor. In this case, it’s the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset which makes the laptop the first announced device on Windows with ARM-chipset.
Apart from operating systems and the processor, KS-PRO will get an 8-inch Super AMOLED display, 8GB RAM and 128GB storage (expandable with memory cards up to 256GB). There are also a few smartphone-like features, for example, 12 MP frontal camera, 4G support and NFC. Besides, KS-PRO is powered by a 10 307mAh battery with Quick Charge support. Lastly, because it’s a laptop after all, it has a QWERTY keyboard with backlight.
KS-PRO can be pre-ordered now for $600 of $450 if you want a slightly less advanced KS-PROID. The shipments will start closer to the end of this year.
