In February, we found out that Xiaomi has started working on a new smartphone. It will be called Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X. The smartphone will belong to the middle-end segment and feature a brand-new Qualcomm chipset – Snapdragon 660. The announcement of this processor, just like Snapdragon 630 and 635, is awaited very soon. But just recently, the device fitted with Snapdragon 660 appeared in the Antutu benchmark rating. So, we can learn all the specs before the presentation.
Apparently, it will be an octa-core processor. The cores are divided between Cortex A73 and A53. Other characteristics include the graphics chipset Adreno 512, dual-port LPDDR4X memory support and 24 MP cameras support. As for the results on Antutu, Snapdragon 660 wasn’t bad at all. The device with this chipset scored 105 576 points.
The CPU speed and the amount of RAM are still unknown. It means that the capabilities of this processor may turn out to be even bigger when the smartphone is finally released.
