MWC 2017 is always a showcase of the latest mobile technologies from the biggest companies in the world. One of them today is definitely Xiaomi. The Chinese company introduced a new version of their smartphone Mi 5c. The most important thing about is the processor – it is Xiaomi-made Surge S1.
Surge S1 was developed on 28nm process technology. The chipset will be fitted mostly in middle-end and budget devices, just like this edition of Mi 5c. The processor is divided into 2 segments with 4 cores in each one. Mali-T860 processor is responsible for the graphics. Interesting fact – Surge S1 trumps Snapdragon 625 and MediaTek Helio P10 according to the results from GFXBench and GeekBench 4.0.
The first smartphone powered by its own chipset also has other interesting features. The 5.15-inch display with the metal body give the phone quite a look. As for other specs, there are 3GB RAM, 64GB of storage, 12MP camera, fingerprint sensor and a USB-C port.
The sales of this smartphone start on 3rd of March. The price is $218.
