In early February, Huawei hinted that the company will be focused not only on smartphones during MWC 2017. Apart from P10 and P10 Plus smartphones, they were preparing the second generation of Huawei Watch. According to the latest information, the device is currently ready to be released. However, Huawei anticipated the launch of Android Wear 2.0 to unveil the watch on this new OS.
Besides, an insider Evan Blass published several renders of Huawei Watch 2. Unlike the original version which was designed like a fashion accessory, this one will have a distinctive sports design. Huawei Watch 2 will feature a rounded display with 2 buttons on its right side. The novelty will be available in black, orange or grey-yellow.
Another interesting feature is a detachable band which opens the slot for inserting a SIM-card. It means that the watch will function by itself, independently from a smartphones. Also, some sources mentioned that Huawei Watch 2 will have a more classic version for those who don’t just look for a sports accessory.
