Face Recognition in iPhone 8?

Face Recognition in iPhone 8?

According to “The Times” of Israel, Apple has acquired the Israeli company called RealFace which specializes in face recognition technologies. The company is based in Tel-Aviv and engaged in cyber-security and machine learning. Analysts from Calcalist say that this deal cost Apple a few million dollars.

The main thing about this company is their interest in face recognition. RealFace even released an app called Pickeez which can pick the best photos of the user from different platforms using face recognition. What’s even more exciting is that this technology may be actually featured in future Apple devices, more exactly, iPhone 8. There are a lot of rumours swirling around this smartphone. If this one is true, it can be a start for a new user identification system. This could be a great addition to the already existent Touch ID.

iPhone 8 is still quite a mystery for everybody. Analysts call it the smartphone of 2017 because of plenty of potential novelties, like glass-made body, OLED display or wireless charging support. In any case, we’ll have to wait for further announcements from Apple.
