Customers have waited for new products from HTC for a long time. It may not be the most popular smartphone manufacturer in the world but this company was a pioneer in many areas. For example, in 2014 HTS was the first to release a smartphone with a dual camera. The company contributed strongly to the smartphones development, so their novelties are always very intriguing.
The same goes for new devices, introduced yesterday. On January, 12, the company organized a live online presentation of two smartphones: HTC U Ultra and HTC U Play. Both devices will have top-notch characteristics and no headphone jacks. The flagman, HTC U Ultra, is fitted with a 6-inch QHD display, protected with Gorilla Glass. Under the hood, there are a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, 4 GB RAM and 64 GB of internal storage.
The highlight of U Ultra is an intelligent HTC Sense Companion. The company even calls it artificial intelligence but in general, its functionality is similar to Siri. Another notable feature is the second display which serves as a control panel, like in LG V10 or V20.
HTC U Play isn’t as “premium” as U Ultra but it still packs a number of great specs. It has a smaller 5.2-inch display, a MTK Helio P10 processor, 3 GB RAM and 32 GB of onboard memory. Cameras are also pretty impressive: 16-MP rear and 16-MP frontal ones. Plus, there is the same “intelligent” Sense Companion on board. HTC hasn’t yet provided any information on release dates or prices.
