Following up the releases of new flagman smartphone Mate 9 and its more advanced version Mate Pro, Huawei has recently introduced a low-end addition to this line-up, called Huawei Mate 9 Lite.
With a 5.5” full HD display, this mobile device provides high-quality and high-resolution (1920 x 1080) imagery. Mate 9 Lite is powered by the Huawei’s own processor, octa-core Kirin 644. Along with that, users get 3GB of RAM and 32GB of inbuilt memory. A more advanced model is fitted with 4GB RAM and 64GB of inbuilt memory. In both cases memory can be expanded to 256GB with a microSD card. As for other main software features, the smartphone runs on EMUI 4.1 operating system which is based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Cameras on the phone are pretty good, although not highly impressive. On the rear side there is a dual camera system with the primary 12 MP one and the secondary 2 MP one. The main camera is equipped with an LED flash and a very well-functioning auto-focus. The frontal camera has 8 MP, which is quite enough for a great selfie. Among other features it’s worth mentioning multiple connectivity possibilities, a 3340mAh battery and a fingerprint sensor.
Although Mate 9 Lite has been launched a week ago, there’s still no information about the price or the date of release. We’ll be keeping a close eye on the news about this mobile device.
