Being a second largest smartphone manufacturer in China, ZTE is also pretty famous around the world. It cooperates with many huge global companies and produces mobile technology for other companies. This applies to its Trek tablets which are sold under the AT&T trademark. The first Trek hit the shelves in July 2015 and recently (in August) we saw the second tablet in this line-up – ZTE Trek2 HD. Let’s look at it a little closer.
Manufacturers claim that the Trek 2 was made mostly for entertainment purposes, like watching videos, movies or playing games. You can enjoy all of this from an 8-inch HD display. For smooth functioning inside you’ll find an octa-core Snapdragon 617 processor along with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB of internal memory (expandable to 128 GB with a micro-SD card). And of course, we have to say that the Trek 2 operates on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
On the back there’s a 5 MP camera, capable of taking decent images. On the front we also have a 5 MP camera, great for selfies. Among other advantages we’d like to focus on two of them: a very capacitative, 4600mAh battery and a USB-C connector. In terms of wireless connectivity, the tablet boasts 4G LTE, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
ZTE Trek 2 HD is a quite nice, middle-range tablet for those who look for great imagery and productivity.
