Walkman NW-WM1Z is a new Sony music player made for excellent high-resolution sound quality.
The body frame is made of copper and it’s plated with gold which protects the player from any electromagnetic interference and ensures the high quality sound. Sony has cooperated with KIMBER KABLE and inside the player there are four wire braided cables which contribute to the sound performance.
The Walkman 2016 has a few changes compared to the previous flagman player: the audio port is now located on the top of the player, plus there are some minor interface changes. Aside from a traditional 3.5mm headphone jack, there is a balanced 4.4mm jack designed for minimizing sound loss.
The NW-WM1Z has a 4 inch touchscreen display and a very simple side-key control panel. The player also has 256GB of inbuilt memory, plus a microSD slot on the bottom of the device.
The NW-WM1Z supports all popular audio formats (MP3, WAV, AIFF, WMA, FLAC) as well as high-resolution format DSD (11.2 MHz). Besides, on this player Sony implements its audio technology called LDAC which allows listening to music via Bluetooth.
The battery life of the NW-WM1Z is quite long: 30 hours playback FLAC and 33 hours MP3.
