Company Canonical, maker of the popular Linux distributive Ubuntu, announced the start of sales for renewed ultra laptop Dell XPS 13 in developer variant in Europe and USA. Featuring the pre-installed OS Ubuntu 16.04 LTS as a major update. Additionally, renewed Dell XPS 13 featuring 7th generation Intel Core processors (Kaby Lake architecture), that has significantly extended autonomous work time.
Among other improvements, it features trendy case color “pink gold” as well as Thunderbolt 3 port and improved Wi-Fi adapter. Full HD version is capable to work up to 22 hours in autonomous mode and up to 13 hours with QHD+ display. Parameters had not been significantly changed in most other respects. Interesting to note that variants based on Windows are priced starting from $799 USD, while Ubuntu models are offered starting at $949.99 for Full HD variants, with Intel Core i5 processors, 8GB RAM and 128GB on SSD.
