Cameron Diaz and Jamie Foxx in a still from the Netflix film "Back In Action"

Cameron Diaz and Jamie Foxx are spies pulled out of hiding in Netflix's Back In Action. They're Emily and Matt, ex-CIA agents whose family is put in peril when their cover is blown. So they're (sort of) forced back into their former life of espionage in this big ol' action movie coming next year.

In the streaming service's new trailer, Foxx and Diaz do a bunch of spy stuff, and explain to their daughter why they're doing said spy stuff.

Horrible Bosses and Baywatch's Seth Gordon directs and co-wrote the script with Neighbours' Brendan O'Brien, so expect comedy among the action. Andrew Scott, Glenn Close, Kyle Chandler, Jamie Demetriou, McKenna Roberts, and Rylan Jackson make up the star-studded cast. And it's also Diaz's first film in 10 years, and given her sublime Charlie's Angels track record, we're absolutely in.

Back In Action hits Netflix on Jan. 17, 2025.
